Kevin’s (he/they) practice is fundamentally about radical acceptance + returning to your innate healing nature. Their treatments support your freedom of being so that you can get real about where you’re at and feel supported to bring health into your life, your own way.

In the treatment room, they often use acupuncture alongside somatic therapy, palpation and gentle Tui Na massage to bring awareness + healing to the subtle roots of symptoms. Other tools include cupping + moxibustion as well as movement, meditation and/or breathwork to integrate treatments.

In practice, they are particularly familiar with physical pain and injury, mental-emotional health, hormonal health, queer health, and BIPOC health. They spent years as a ballet dancer, healing the many injuries that came with it. A second career as a yoga + qigong teacher in Asia highlighted the interdependence of mind-body-spirit-culture in healing. They believe that bringing forth your most authentic self amidst oppressive systems is a way of healing both yourself and the world. They do this while centring joy, beauty and compassion… preferably nourished by meaningful company, fresh local foods and a slow sunset.

Formal training: Diploma of Acupuncture (Magna Cum Laude) from Pacific Rim College, Advanced Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) certification with Sarah Pritchard, Shi Ba Shi Taiji Qigong Teaching Certification with Peter Caughey, E-RYT 500 with Janet Stone Yoga, Bachelor of Performing Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California, San Francisco Ballet School Alumni

Anny is a Registered Acupuncturist who practices a unique style of Japanese Acupuncture called Kiiko Matsumoto style of Acupuncture (KMS). Her treatment consists of diagnosis through palpation which provides instant feedback for patient and practitioner. This method of palpation is mostly done on the abdomen and areas of the limbs where certain sensations or lack of reflexes can diagnosis certain conditions of the body. This style of acupuncture addresses the whole medical history to treat the root of each issue rather than just treating the symptoms. KMS Acupuncture needling methods are shallow and painless, using the smallest gauge needles. She is constantly upgrading her knowledge and skill set in order to achieve the best possible results for her patients. Anny has been practicing since 2010.

Anny’s introduction to acupuncture and health can be traced back to her grandfather, a life-long acupuncturist, who passed down the knowledge he gained over the course of his career to her. A great deal of her practical experiences has come from working abroad, treating thousands of patients onboard luxury cruise ships.

She is currently registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. She studied Chinese Medicine at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver (ICTCMV). Anny also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in Cell Biology and Genetics. The diverse range of her academic background has provided an advantage in understanding both Western and Eastern medicine.
